Celebrate the power of strength training for health and well-being

STRONGER at HOME founded Strength Training Awareness Day in 2024. 2026 will be our third annual Strength Training Awareness Day.

This year’s theme is ‘Strength training: it’s more than muscle strength.’

Strength training is often associated with getting ‘big and bulky’ or being ‘only for athletes’ and this can be especially unappealing for those who are thinking about getting started on their strength training journey.

But we know that strength training participation and increased muscle strength provide benefits well beyond the aesthetic or improved sports performance.

This year on 04.04.2026, we invite you to share any research and/or real-world success stories around the social, mental, psychological, physiological, physical, and everyday performance benefits you’ve seen or experienced in yourself or others as a result of strength training participation.

Together, we can build a new narrative around strength training.

Participating in strength training is no longer just for athletic performance and aesthetics. It is one of the most effective tools we have for:
